“When I found full comprehension and meticulous understanding of the book Dhukhr al-Muta’ahhilin wa al-Nisa’ fi ta’rif al-Athar wa al-Dima’ by Imam Muhammad Pir Ali al-Birgivi, one of the great scholars of the Ottoman Empire, in the noble brother Ashraf Ahmed Muneeb and the distinguished sister Hedaya Hartford, I authorized them both to teach this book in any place or country they visit according to the recognized conditions of the scholars, just as I have authorized them both with that which I have been authorized to convey by my distinguished shaykhs, including the seal of the Ottoman Empire, Shaykh Muhammad Zahid al-Kawthari.”
